India is witnessing a new form of agitation. It is in fact, plastic surgery of the Gandhian way to condemn. With non-violent mask ‘Bandhs’ are no more a peaceful way to oppose. As a matter of fact, it is just a new way of exploiting poor man. For every small opposition they call for bandh. This bandh has a mask of common man but does this really have same intention?
Every now and then we ask ourselves- in a constitutional democracy, is there really any place for bandh? Initially it was a peaceful method of agitation, people boycotted work and followed Gandhian values. They had no intention of harming any fellow being. But now, the time has changed. Be it a political party or a local ‘gunda’, for them this bandh is not to condemn, but a way to increase their ‘dear’ perks. Now, people don’t join bandhs; they are compelled to do so. Even though they are in no way connected to the matter, they are forced to stop their businesses and join it.
A common man with middle income can somehow tolerate it, but can this be handled by others? I am talking about the daily wage workers. At these times, if they don’t work they won’t be able to collect for their daily food. They would be forced to sleep with empty stomach. Nobody of them ever think how hardly these workers are hit during the time of these bandhs. When others agitate, they have to pay for it. Their loss will go on and they can’t condemn this.
So why is this metamorphosis for? On one way we say ourselves as civilized and learned people with deep human feelings; on the other we simply ignore the sentiments of fellow human. Is this a real facelift or just mocking to mankind?
very nice ujjwal, keep it up. we dont knw wat exactly our politicians want..the recent 24 hr bandh called by BJP costed a whopping 20,000 crores loss to our country...was that required???...i mean there are many other ways to protest, instead of slapping our govt with such hefty economic losses they shud come up with peaceful & meaningful protests, they shud try to make genuine contacts with ppl, convince them regarding the price rise issue...anyways u did a gr8 job ujjwal, kudos to u...we need more energetic youth like u to come up with serious issues like this...proud to have u as much younger bro...god bless u...
ReplyDeletewell, di these pick pocket politicians want nothing but money in their pockets. Even if they earn 10 and the country loses 1000 ... they don't have a problem...
ReplyDeletestill it will be a profitable business for them..
sad but true...
India is in no way going in desired direction. i will condemn the ruling class until they will come in right track.
yepp.. i do agree with you.. these bandhs are doing harm to the country as a whole and one should not forget that by doing all this they not only doing injustice to their country only but to themselves as well. In some way or the other their life is also affected.. but thing is when will the right time come when people will understand about this mis happenings ????? A big question which needs to be answered.
ReplyDeletepeople are aware of this fact very well. But this is simply ignorance. When we see a bandh all we do is to condemn or support it. Somewhere in the corner of the heart they know that poor will be affected more over this subject.
ReplyDeleteyet this thought remains as a spark at some corner. "What is required is to fuel this spark so that a fire is BORN"-mind it!!!
